With COVID-19 and lockdown regulations updating regularly, we have made some changes to how we operate in order to carry on working, as safely as possible. We have lots of precautions in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and to help reassure our customers that they are receiving a safe (but still high quality) service from L & J Home Ltd.
So here's how we have adapted our services to keep our drivers and customers safe, every step of the way
Quotes
In order to provide our customers with their tailored house move quotes, we have swapped our in-person visits for video calls. Usually carrying these out over Whatsapp, we can do a virtual tour of a customers property to see everything they are having moved as well as the access from our office.
This helps keep both parties safe but also allows us to communicate as if we were face to face! If customers are unable to do a video call, we will happily provide a quote based on a list or some photos provided by the customer.
On the day
On the day of your move, our movers will be fully equipped with PPE (including masks, gloves and sanistiers). Customers will also be asked to remain outside of the property or in a separate room to our staff when in attendance. This is to help maintain social distancing and prevent unnecessary contact
We will also ask for the floorplans of the new property prior to the move. This is so that, on the day, our movers know where each items needs to go, without having to ask the customer and increase contact with them
We take the temperature of every member of staff every morning before they hit the road. We take very seriously any symptoms or increase in temperature, so please know that the staff on your move and feeling fit and healthy.
We will also request that one family member is present at the property when our crew is present. If there are too many people inside the household, it is a greater risk to everyone as it will be harder to follow social distancing!
Flexible Bookings
We understand that there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding moving dates at the moment, as any changes with COVID-19 or hiccups can cause a delay for the whole chain.
We do our best to be as flexible as possible for our customers. We suggest that people book the date they are aiming to move but should there be any delays or changes, we will happily move the booking over to a new day (with enough notice). We keep in touch with customers right up to the move date, so if you ever have any concerns, we are here to help!
